Privacy Policy

GovernEye takes your privacy very seriously. The premise of our platform is to allow citizens their anonymity while asking their elected representatives some tough questions. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not even require you to provide us with your contact information while registering. We do not monitor or track your usage patterns. Our revenue model is not dependent on third-party advertising and so we do not have that need.

The only personal information (non-identifiable) we collect, and the reasons for collecting them, are explained below:

    • Education Qualification: GovernEye collects your Education Qualification at the time of registration to be displayed on your profile page. This is an important piece of information for other users to build some context around your posts and allow elected representatives and other fellow citizens to understand if a policy discussion is getting sufficient inputs from the target citizen demography.

    • Date of Birth: GovernEye collects your Date of Birth at the time of registration and uses that to calculate your age to be displayed on your profile page. This is an important piece of information for other users to build some context around your posts and allow elected representatives and other fellow citizens to understand if a policy discussion is getting sufficient inputs from the target citizen demography.

    • Gender: GovernEye collects your Gender at the time of registration to be displayed on your profile page. This is an important piece of information for other users to build some context around your posts and allow elected representatives and other fellow citizens to understand if a policy discussion is getting sufficient inputs from the target citizen demography.

    • Voting Constituency: GovernEye collects your Voting Constituency at the time of registration to be displayed on your profile page. This is an important piece of information for other users to build some context around your posts and allow elected representatives and other fellow citizens to understand if a policy discussion is getting sufficient inputs from the target citizen demography.
