We have already seen the NCT Act in...  moreThe central government is now carrying out a major political tactics to literally make Delhi a union territory by curtailing the powers of the state government in Delhi and giving more powers to the lieutenant governor. We have already seen the NCT Act introduced by centre in the previous year for the same motive, and then the power tussles happened between the state government and the governor, which greatly affected the governance of Delhi. Now, by bringing a new ordinance, the center is trying to eliminate the powers the Delhi government got as per the Supreme Court's order. Denying those important powers of a state government elected by the people is an undemocratic act. It is high time that all the opposition parties in the country should support Aam Aadmi Party to counter and defeat BJP's big political move against the federal system of our country's democracy.Congress, on the other hand, did not supporting the Aam Aadmi Party on this issue, which is very unfortunate. If Congress is not going to support AAP in this, then they are literally favoring the undemocratic act of central government against the AAP state government and also against the voters of Delhi.  less
