From Dec 1, 2021 to Jan 31, 2022 we conducted a survey to understand how satisfied are Delhi's citizens with the administration of its municipalities. We understand that this has very little correlation with who they might actually vote for in the upcoming elections. These kinds of surveys act as a dipstick indicator of the mood of a state's citizenry towards the end of a government's term and serve two broad purposes:

1) Provide an input (one of many) for political parties to calibrate their campaign messaging.

2) Help citizens informally validate their opinions to evaluate various political parties.

GovernEye's differentiator is the inclusion of a new dimension to the survey - is the response analytical or sentimental? There is a body of knowledge available in the world of academia that attributes analytical and sentimental functioning to different hemispheres of the brain. By observing visual cues, one can ascertain with a fair amount of certainty whether a response is analytical or sentimental. This (theoretically) makes the data even more valuable for analysis by political parties and citizens.

The survey was designed to record verbal responses as well as non-verbal cues. It included three control questions to assess the basal body language patterns of a respondent. Non-verbal cues recorded were confirmed against the responses to those control questions prior to being counted.

The focus question asked in the survey was: Are you satisfied with the administration of Delhi's municipalities? The options for a response were a Yes or a No.

We surveyed 1000 respondents in each administrative zone of Delhi. We tried our best to have equal number of males and females in the survey. No one identified themselves as 'other' gender.
